Why God Speaks When You’re Sleeping and Silent When You’re Busy
WATCH THE FULL EPISODE NOW: https://youtu.be/XSEXsJcHeCA Prosperity isn’t about money, success, or accumulation. It’s about who you trust as your source. In this clip, Kap and Luke unpack why God often speaks through dreams when our lives are too loud to listen, and how distraction and busyness can quietly shift our trust away from Him without us realizing it. This conversation challenges the belief that provision comes from effort alone and reframes prosperity as covenant protection, not pressure. When God becomes your provider, clarity replaces confusion, fear loses its voice, and obedience becomes the path to peace. This clip invites you to examine where your confidence is really anchored and what changes when provision flows from trust, not control. 🚩Pre-Order My Book: The Power to Prosper: https://amzn.to/3Jlm3ku
God does not speak in dreams because He is mysterious. He speaks in dreams because you are finally quiet enough to listen.
Most believers live in a state of constant spiritual noise. You are managing your schedule, worrying about your bank account, and trying to force doors open with your own strength. This level of activity creates a frequency that drowns out the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit.
But when you sleep, your cognitive defenses drop. Your ego stops trying to solve the problem. That is when the Lord can finally get a word in edgewise to give you the direction you have been begging for all day.
The Strategy of Divine Silence
Silence from God is usually a symptom of human static. We often think God is being distant or withholding information from us. In reality, the frequency of our busyness is incompatible with the frequency of His Spirit.
Busyness is not just a Full calendar. It is a posture of the heart that believes everything depends on you. When you operate out of that pressure, you become deaf to the prophetic instructions that are already hovering around you.
God uses the night season to bypass your analytical mind. He waits until your body is still and your worries are paused to drop blueprints into your spirit. Job 33:14-16 says, "For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction."
He is looking for an entry point where your control isn't blocking the signal. If He can't get your attention during the nine-to-five, He will wait until the two in the morning.
True Prosperity is Covenant Trust
We have been lied to about what it means to prosper. The world tells you that prosperity is the accumulation of assets through sheer willpower. The Kingdom says prosperity is the result of whose voice you trust as your primary source.
If you think your effort is what provides for your family, you will always be too busy to hear God. You will treat the Holy Spirit like an advisor you call when things go wrong instead of the Architect of your life. That is not prosperity. That is a high-functioning form of anxiety.
True prosperity is covenant protection. It is the peace that comes from knowing the Creator of the universe is obligated to take care of you because you belong to Him. When you transition from a "provider" mindset to a "steward" mindset, the noise stops.
The pressure to perform dies when you realize that God is the one who gives you the power to get wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18 declares, "And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
The Mechanics of Distraction
Distraction is a weapon of the enemy designed to shift your trust away from the Father. It starts small. You stop starting your day in the Secret Place because "there is too much to do."
Then, you start making decisions based on logic and math rather than prayer and revelation. Before you know it, you are carrying the weight of a world that was never meant to be on your shoulders. You become a slave to your own labor.
This is why God seems silent during your most productive hours. You are trying to build your own kingdom with your own hands, and He will not compete with your idols. He is a jealous God who wants to be your only source.
When you are busy, you are in control. When you are silent, God is in control. The reason the dream is so powerful is that it proves God can do more while you are unconscious than you can do while you are wide awake.

Moving From Control to Clarity
Clarity is the reward of surrender. If you want to hear God's voice during the day, you have to learn how to be "spiritually asleep" toward the pressures of the world. You have to shut down the part of you that thinks you are the one holding it all together.
This requires an intentional practice of spiritual warfare against the spirit of hurry. You must learn to wait on the Lord until your soul is quiet. Only then will you realize that the instruction you needed was there all along.
The secret to a directed life is not working harder. It is listening better. When you anchor your confidence in His provision, fear loses its authority over your mind.
Obedience becomes easy when you know the One giving the orders is also the One providing the resources. You don't have to shout to be heard, and you don't have to hustle to be seen. You just have to be still.
Make the decision today to silence the noise and reclaim your covenant peace.
